Our project delivery process is more than plans and metrics

The traditional project delivery models which start from requirements and progress to solution through a procedural workflow have limited use for delivering effectiveness. We developed a 4 stage process, Think - Plan - Innovate - Integrate, which is agile and effective.

Use the prowess of judgement, analysis and inference

Before the process of gathering the requirements, it is important to develop a consensus on the nature of the problem. This helps us to understand the context, to understand the quality of the results required. This helps us to learn about the culture and identity of the client and their value system. This helps us to understand how our expertise and experience can be better used to develop the best solution for our clients. At this stage, for us, it's important to know what the project means to our client rather than how we are going to deliver it.

Devil is in the details and so is the risk.

After understanding the project context, we move to the planning phase. We work with the clients to convert their inputs into requirements. We ensure that the client needs are satisfied by the defined and agreed set of requirements. We indetify a set of specific and measurable outcomes as a result of the proposed project requirements. Then we look at the resources, timescales and risks to identify a detailed plan. Analysis of risks and options for their mitigation are always at the center of the planning phase.

 

Innovation is an ability to deliver changes as an opportunity.

Project execution is our opportunity to innovate. We explore the best tools and techniques available to us and select the most appropriate ones to facilitate agile and collaborative delivery of the project. We challange conventions and explore opportunities to deliver positive change. We engage stakeholders and we enable them to contribute to identify further opportunities to improve the process as well as the solution being developed. We deliver a solution that is optimal but also has a clear pathway to further improvement.

We believe that exploring the solutions and technology space in the early engineering development phases of a project is key to engineering success. This phase then develops through creation of a 'Design Description Document' that leads to detailed design and analysis phases. 

Supporting the detailed design phase through prototyping and supplier selection ensures that design errors can be resolved before they become costly modification projects. Validated designs can then be led through manufacturing, assembly and testing phases. using the lessons learnt through these phases the designs can be further improved through a synchronised configuration modification process.
